History

1920 Toshio Yoshikawa opens "Yokado Clothing Store" at Tokyo Asakusa.
1945 Relocated from Tokyo Asakusa to Kitasenju after the store burned down in the war.
1971 The company name changed to Ito-Yokado Co., Ltd.
1972 Ito-Yokado Co., Ltd. listed on the second section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
1973 Ito-Yokado Co., Ltd. listed on the first section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
York Seven Co., Ltd* established and a license agreement concluded with the US Southland Corporation.
